Sacramento LAFCO
Cordova Recreation and Parks District MSR/SOI Update – May 2023
SFC provided on-call planning services for Sacramento LAFCO for the first half of 2023. During that time, SFC produced the Draft Cordova Recreation and Parks District MSR/SOI Update. The report will be brought back to LAFCO for final approval in the fall/winter 2023.
Lake Valley Fire Protection District
2023 Tourism Impacts Report and Funding Request
SFC worked again with Lake Valley Fire Protection District to create a tourism impacts report in order to request funding from the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. Out of the 10 fire agencies requesting funding, Lake Valley received the most out of the four agencies that were awarded funding at over $600,000.

El Dorado Countywide Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services MSR/SOI Update – April 2022
This report reviewed 15 agencies throughout the County including two cities, two community services districts, two county service areas, and nine fire protection districts. The final product utilizes state of the art financial analytics and GIS data to provide an extensive review of services for these agencies in the County.

2022 Tourism Impacts Report and Funding Request
SFC’s work with Lake Valley Fire Protection District led to the district receiving over $1 million in Transient Occupancy Tax funding from the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. This was the most funding awarded to any fire agency in the County, and was more than the district received the prior year.

2021 Tourism Impacts Report and Funding Request
SFC’s created a report detailing tourism impacts to the District based on the County’s General Plan requirements in order for Lake Valley Fire Protection District to submit for Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) funding. The report was presented to the Board of Supervisors. The data driven details in the report led to the Board of Supervisors awarding the District over $500,000 in TOT funding. This was the most funding awarded to any other fire agency in the County.
